The Business School For People Who Like Helping People
Let’s go to business school with Robert Kiyosaki. Robert Kiyosaki wrote several books that exposed wealth secrets, and possibilities to the common person. His books describe the differences between those who work for a living, (employees) those who work in their business, (self employed) and those whose businesses (business owners)and investments (investors) work for them.
In his book Rich Dad Poor Dad he describes his rich dad who was a friend’s father, his mentor, and his poor dad. His own father. His book was not meant as disrespectful to his dad. It was meant to educate us about the difference in our attitudes toward money. It also illustrates the difference between playing it safe and playing to win.
Now he has a book called The Business School For People Who Like Helping People.
"If I had to do it all over again, rather than build an old style type of business, I would have started building a network marketing business." -- Robert T. Kiyosaki, Entrepreneur and Author
Many distributors get started in network marketing because of the opportunity to make money. However there are a number of other benefits that network marketing offers besides money.
“Network marketing gives people the opportunity, with very low risk and very low financial commitment, to build their own income-generating asset and acquire great wealth.” -- Robert Kiyosaki
Life Changing Business Education
One hidden value that is probably even more valuable than the compensation, is what Kiyosaki dubs a Life-Changing Business Education. Robert Kiyosaki notes that too many distributors and companies focus on their compensation plan and products.
According to Kiyosaki, the number one reason why you should look at joining network marketing company, is the education that it provides. There are a number of different skills that you learn in network marketing that have real world value both inside and outside your network marketing business.
Build a B Quadrant Business
Kiyosaki says we need to be business owners and eventually investors to have the most leverage in life. Employees and self employed business owners usually are trading time for money. For instance if a dentist isn’t drilling he’s not making money. A carpenter must be present pounding nails to make money. In contrast a business owner has his business working for him.
Big business enjoys the leverage of other peoples efforts. Traditionally this takes a lot of capital. Henry Ford had a great idea of an affordable car for the common man. Trouble is, for us to take an idea like that into production, requires vast amounts of capital and risk.
In Business School Kiyosaki says: In network marketing you can have the advantage of a B quadrant business without a need for much capital. The risk is also very low. Having a B quadrant business allows us to maximize our wealth creation, and qualify for the best investments which are only available to rich investors.
Network Marketing and Your Personal Development
One of the biggest skills, and interestingly, the first skill on Kiyosaki’s list of network marketing skills, is an attitude for success. Too many people have an attitude for failure. That’s why they fail. Network marketing, teaches you to retrain your mind, to think success as opposed to failure.
Another huge personal development skill taught by network marketing companies is the overcoming of fears, doubts and lack of confidence. There are companies that want to help you focus on Living a Well Balanced Life.
For many people, the reason why they fail to advance in life is because they are bound by their comfort zone. A network marketing business, teaches you how to expand beyond your comfort zone, face your fears and act in spite of your fears.
Imagine the fear that many distributors have when talking to their first prospect. I’m sure you can remember when you approached your first prospect.
Approaching the first cold market prospect, a prospect that the distributor doesn’t have any type of relationship with, prior to the initial contact, is even more intimidating.
For many distributors it is their inability to get over these fears that stops them not only, from having success in network marketing, but having success in life. This also translates to other areas in their life.
The end result for many people is living an average, unfulfilled life and always wondering what would have happened, if they would have just gotten over their fears.
Money Management
Money management skills is another valuable skill that you are taught in network marketing.
As a distributor you have to know how to effectively manage your money in order to have long term success in the industry. People who blow all of their commissions on things that depreciate in value and fail to re-invest in their business are in for a nasty surprise in the future.
“Employees pay the highest percentage of taxes. Big business and investors pay the least.” -- Robert Kiyosaki, Entrepreneur, Businessman and Author
You have to learn to manage your commissions, and make the necessary budget allocations for all of your business expenses. These include your meetings, trainings, and business building tools. You even have to manage your deductions to take the appropriate write offs on your taxes. Money management is a tremendously valuable skill.
The True Value in Network Marketing
What happens if your particular company goes out of business? The commissions stop coming in. However, if you have used building a network marketing business as an opportunity to learn new skills, you are able to take these skills wherever you go and apply them. That’s the true value of building a network marketing business.
The Business School for People Who Like Helping People is an excellent book for anyone looking to discover the true value of the network marketing industry. Too many people focus simply on the money opportunity. However it is the skills you learn that has a greater value than the money.
"If you are a person with big dreams and would love to support others in achieving their big dreams, then the network marketing business is definitely a business for you. You can start your business part-time at first and then as your business grows, you can help other people start their part-time business. This is a value worth having - a business and people who help others make their dreams come true." -- Robert T. Kiyosaki, Entrepreneur and Author
